President Donald Trump has named Martin Marks as the new White House liaison to the Jewish community.
Marks, who led Jewish outreach for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, has been appointed Special Assistant to the President and Director of Jewish Engagement within the White House Faith Office. The office is overseen by Pastor Paula White.
The position remained vacant during Trump’s first term, when Jewish outreach was handled informally by figures such as Jared Kushner and Elan Carr.
White House Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers stated that the administration is committed to combating antisemitism and protecting religious freedoms.
Nathan Diament, Executive Director for Public Policy at the Orthodox Union, welcomed the appointment and praised Marks’ familiarity with issues such as security funding for Jewish institutions.
The announcement comes as tensions rise on college campuses and incidents of antisemitism increase nationwide.
