Singer Cassie Ventura took the stand in a Manhattan federal courtroom on Monday, delivering emotional testimony against music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. As reported by The Guardian and AP News, Ventura described years of alleged abuse, manipulation, and coercion during her relationship with Combs.
According to her statement, Combs subjected her to physical violence and forced her to take part in what she described as “perverse and degrading parties.” She claimed that he maintained control over her career, finances, and personal life, often using fear and intimidation. “His eyes would just go black,” she said, describing his alleged outbursts of rage.
Ventura is a key witness in the ongoing civil trial, in which Combs is facing multiple accusations, including human trafficking, sexual assault, and racketeering. The trial follows a series of lawsuits and federal investigations that have intensified public scrutiny of the music producer, once considered one of the most powerful figures in the industry.
Combs has denied all allegations and maintains that the accusations are “false and malicious.” His legal team is expected to cross-examine Ventura in the next session.
Ventura is scheduled to return to the witness stand for a second day of testimony later this week.
