The Iranian army issued a sharp warning amid the ongoing escalation, declaring that it is prepared—alongside the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—to respond to Israel’s attacks.
“Until now, we have avoided a direct path to war,” the statement said, “but the Iranian army and the IRGC will no longer tolerate aggression and the spilling of innocent blood of our people. We will teach Netanyahu a bitter lesson.”
The threat comes as reports emerge of further Israeli strikes on Iranian military and strategic sites, and as Iranian officials continue to suggest that a formal declaration of war may soon follow.
