Calls for Uprising Emerge in Iran Amid Israeli Strikes on Regime Leaders

As Israel continues its strikes on key military and strategic targets inside Iran—and following reports of the elimination of top Iranian military and scientific figures—faint voices of dissent are beginning to emerge from within Iranian society.

Despite the regime’s tight grip on media, internet access, and public discourse, some social media users have begun posting messages and videos calling for protests and civil disobedience against the rule of the ayatollahs. Exiled opposition activists claim growing unrest in major cities, particularly following the deaths of senior figures seen as pillars of the Islamic Republic.

Anonymous sources inside Iran report increased police presence in some areas, access restrictions to messaging apps, and the arrest of individuals suspected of engaging in “anti-state incitement.”

While no large-scale protests have been reported yet, the very appearance of such voices amid the regime’s most serious security crisis in decades may signal the early stages of internal instability. Iranian authorities have not yet commented on reports of growing domestic discontent.
