Late Friday night, a large-scale fire erupted on the upper floors of a 67-story residential tower in Dubai Marina, also known as Tiger Tower or Marina Pinnacle, authorities confirmed.
Teams from Dubai Civil Defence responded swiftly, battling flames well into the early hours of Saturday. The blaze was fully contained approximately six hours later, with smoke and cooling operations continuing on-site into Saturday morning.
All 3,820 residents living in the tower’s 764 apartments were safely evacuated; no casualties or injuries have been reported. Ambulance teams and medical staff were on-site to offer both physical and mental health support.
According to Dubai Media Office posts on X (formerly Twitter), “specialized teams successfully evacuated all residents from the 67‑storey building, prioritizing their health and safety throughout the operation”.
The venue includes cooperation with the building’s developer to arrange temporary housing for displaced residents.
Authorities confirmed a brief disruption of tram services between Dubai Marina Station and Palm Jumeirah Station, and alternative transport was provided to accommodate commuters.
The fire is believed to have started around 9:30 pm local time on June 13, affecting several upper floors. Residents reported smelling heavy smoke and seeing flames extend across multiple levels. Dubai Civil Defence is conducting an ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire.
