American actress Patricia “Pat” Crowley, celebrated for her roles in the sitcom Friends and the classic drama Dynasty, has died at 91. She passed away on September 14, 2025, in Los Angeles, just two days before her 92nd birthday.
Her death was confirmed by her son, John Houchstratten, who is an executive vice president at Sony Pictures. According to Houchstratten, Pat Crowley died of natural causes on September 14 in Los Angeles.
Crowley landed her first major role in the 1953 film Forever Female, starring alongside renowned American actors Ginger Rogers and William Holden. The following year, she won a Golden Globe in the category of “New Star of the Year.”
Over a career spanning six decades, Patricia Crowley appeared in more than a hundred films and television series. Her most notable TV credits include Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, Dynasty, The Twilight Zone, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Love Boat, Beverly Hills, 90210, and General Hospital.
Crowley also made an appearance in the beloved comedy Friends, where she played Mrs. Burgin, the mother of Joshua, Rachel Green’s boyfriend.
Pat Crowley’s final on-screen appearance was in the 2012 film Mon Reve.
