Donald Trump has unveiled a plan to end the war in Gaza during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House.
The two leaders announced the proposal at a joint press conference on Monday, outlining 20 key steps aimed at bringing the conflict to a close.
The plan calls on Hamas to surrender its weapons, give up its political role, and release all hostages.
It also offers amnesty to Hamas members who pledge to coexist peacefully with Israel.
President Trump described the announcement as “an important day for peace” and warned that if Hamas rejects the deal, Israel would have America’s full backing to eliminate the threat by force.
Regional sources said Qatar and Egypt have passed the proposal to Hamas, which has promised to examine it seriously before responding.
The White House said the plan could bring an immediate end to the conflict if both sides agree.
