Austria has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 with JJ’s emotional performance of “Wasted Love.” The final took place in Basel, Switzerland, and saw Austria secure the top spot with a commanding total of 436 points from both juries and the public.
The contest delivered one of the closest finishes in recent memory. Israel’s Yuval Raphael came in second with 357 points, largely boosted by a record-breaking 297-point televote — the highest audience score of the night. Estonia’s Tommy Cash followed closely in third place with 356 points, thanks to his provocative and widely discussed performance of “Espresso Macchiato.”
Ukraine finished 9th overall, continuing its strong showing in recent editions of the contest.
Eurovision 2025 was marked by high drama, both on and off the stage, including political messages, security incidents, and public protests. Despite this, the evening remained a celebration of music, creativity, and unity — with Austria taking home the trophy and Europe once again reminded of the power of performance.
