Actor Haley Joel Osment, known for his role in The Sixth Sense, was arrested on April 8, 2025, at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area in Mammoth Lakes, California. Authorities responded to reports of an allegedly intoxicated individual around 2 p.m. local time. Osment, 37, was taken into custody for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance. The specific substance has not been identified and is undergoing laboratory analysis.
Osment was released shortly after his arrest. The Mono County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the case to determine whether formal charges will be filed.
This incident is not Osment’s first legal issue. In 2006, he pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence and possession of marijuana following a car accident. He received a sentence of three years’ probation and was required to attend rehabilitation programs.
