2 Dead After Crane Collapse at Florida Hospital Construction Site

Two people were killed after a crane collapsed at the construction site of a new hospital in Cape Canaveral, Florida, authorities reported on June 4.

The incident occurred amid severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and strong winds. While the weather may have been a contributing factor, the exact cause of the collapse remains under investigation.

Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, and local officials have launched an inquiry into whether safety protocols were properly followed. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is expected to take part in the investigation, which will examine the structural integrity of the crane and conditions on site at the time of the collapse.
