An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7 struck the San Francisco Bay Area early this morning, September 22.
The tremors, recorded at 2:56 a.m. local time, were felt just a few blocks from the University of California, Berkeley campus.
The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center confirmed that no tsunami is expected at this time.
The San Francisco Fire Department stated that there have been no reports of damage or injuries in the city of nearly 900,000 people.
