Elon Musk has become the first person in history whose net worth has surpassed $500 billion.
According to the Forbes Billionaires Index, the wealth of the Tesla CEO and owner of the X platform reached this milestone thanks to the rising value of his assets, primarily his 12% stake in Tesla.
This achievement has further solidified his status as the richest person in the world.
The value of Tesla’s shares has increased by more than 20% over the past year.
Musk could also become the world’s first trillionaire: he is set to receive a record compensation package if Tesla meets a series of ambitious goals. These goals include selling one million AI humanoid robots, producing 12 million vehicles, and achieving an eightfold increase in the company’s market capitalization.
