A helicopter crashed on a beach in California during a festival, injuring five people.
The incident occurred in Huntington Beach during the ‘Cars and Copters’ festival.
Among those injured in the crash were the pilot and a passenger, as well as three bystanders, one of whom was a child. The injured were hospitalized.
A police statement said that the two people who were aboard the aircraft were safely removed from the wreckage.
A video filmed by a beachgoer and posted on social media shows the helicopter flying at a low altitude over the beach. It then crashes to the ground near the 21500 block of the Pacific Coast Highway. The aircraft became wedged between the Hyatt Regency hotel and a palm tree.
