US Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed the opinion that the current Vice President of the United States, Jay D. Vance, could be the next Republican presidential candidate in the 2028 election.
He said this in an interview with Fox News.
‘The next Republican candidate, I believe, will be Vice President Vance, if he decides to run. He is a good friend of mine and does a good job. We have a great team, and we all work for the president,’ Rubio said.
He added that the US president’s team is responsible for implementing his agenda.
‘Can we give advice? Can we suggest ideas? Yes, but in the end, he (the president – ed.) is the person the American people elected,’ the secretary of state said.
At the same time, Rubio did not answer the journalist’s question about whether he would participate in the Republican Party primaries ahead of the 2028 US presidential election.
The next US presidential election will take place in November 2028.
