Shooting at Los Angeles College: Two Women Injured

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a shooting occurred at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Inglewood, California, leaving two women injured.

The incident took place around 3:45 p.m. local time inside an administrative office on campus. According to Inglewood Mayor James Butts, the suspect — a former employee of the college — was arrested by Los Angeles police in the Koreatown area about two hours after the shooting. He was reportedly armed and dressed in what appeared to be a security uniform.

The two victims, both female employees of the college, sustained gunshot wounds. One of them was shot in the head, and both were transported to a trauma center in Long Beach in critical condition.

The campus was temporarily locked down while law enforcement secured the area. A spokesperson for the college emphasized that safety is a top priority and confirmed cooperation with the authorities.
