Trump Hints at Regime Change in Iran: “If They Can’t Make Iran Great Again—Why Not?”

U.S. President Donald Trump posted a provocative message overnight, suggesting the possibility of regime change in Iran.

“It’s not politically correct to use the term ‘regime change,’ but if the current regime in Iran can’t Make Iran Great Again, then why not a regime change??? MIGA!!!” Trump wrote.

The acronym MIGA — Make Iran Great Again — is a direct nod to Trump’s iconic campaign slogan Make America Great Again. His statement is being widely interpreted as a call for political transformation in Tehran, should the current leadership fail to meet national expectations.

The tweet comes amid rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran, following reports of Iranian missile launches toward Israel and alleged U.S. strikes on nuclear facilities inside Iran. Iranian officials have yet to respond publicly to the president’s remarks.
