Former President Donald Trump stated that the United States “had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight,” distancing Washington from the reported Israeli strikes on Iranian targets. He emphasized, “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”
Trump issued this warning via Truth Social, adding: “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”
This comes amid a major exchange of strikes between Israel and Iran, in which Iranian missiles targeted Israel and were followed by Israeli strikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites. In response, Trump cautioned Iran that any aggression toward U.S. interests would trigger an unprecedented military response.
Trump’s call for a deal between Iran and Israel highlights his continued stance on aligning regional diplomacy with deterrence. It reflects his broader “maximum pressure” strategy toward Iran — offering a pathway to peace if Tehran returns to the negotiating table.
