According to Numbeo’s latest ranking, Abu Dhabi has been named the safest city in the world, ahead of Doha and Ajman. Meanwhile, Caracas was deemed the most dangerous city.
Numbeo, a global database, has released its ranking of the 424 safest cities in the world, based on their crime index. The capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, took the top spot with the lowest rates of robbery, theft, and kidnapping.
The Qatari capital, Doha, came in second, with an exceptionally low crime index of 14.5. Another city in the UAE, Ajman, rounded out the top three. Its safety is attributed to proactive police programs that focus on crime prevention, improving road safety, and rapid response to emergencies.
According to Numbeo, the most dangerous city in the world is Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
