Former U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the ongoing negotiations related to the war in Ukraine, stating that discussions between Russia and Ukraine “might be going well” and adding, “You’ll know soon enough.”
“There comes a time when you either settle or shut up,” Trump said, emphasizing the need to move toward resolution. He did not elaborate on whether his statement referred to a specific stage of negotiations or to broader expectations from both sides.
The remark follows recent indirect exchanges between U.S. and Russian officials, as well as signals from Kyiv about openness to dialogue under certain conditions.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that, if re-elected, he could bring an end to the conflict “within 24 hours,” though he has not presented a specific plan.
