Microsoft Tests New Freedom Feature: Say What You Want with Windows 11 Voice Typing

Microsoft has introduced a new feature in Windows 11 that allows users to disable profanity filtering during voice input. The update is part of the latest Insider Preview Build 26200.550.

With the new option, users can access voice typing by pressing Win + H and adjust the settings to turn off the profanity filter. Once disabled, the system will no longer replace explicit language with asterisks and will instead transcribe speech verbatim.

Currently, this feature is available only to members of the Windows Insider Program. If testing goes smoothly, Microsoft plans to roll it out to the stable version of Windows 11 in the coming months.

The build also tests two additional features:

  • Click-to-Do: An AI-powered assistant that suggests actions based on the current screen content. Notably, all processing is done locally on the device, without sending data to the cloud.
  • Improved Search: An enhanced search tool that allows users to find content using natural language, not just by file names.

The new AI capabilities require a Copilot+ PC equipped with a neural processor capable of delivering over 40 TOPS (trillion operations per second). However, voice typing — including the profanity filter toggle — is available on any device running Windows 11 with an internet connection.
