Beijing Denies Supplying Weapons to Russia Amid Zelenskyy’s Accusations

The Chinese government has denied allegations that it is providing military support to Russia, following remarks made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Speaking during a press conference, Zelenskyy claimed that China has been supplying weapons and gunpowder to Russia, contributing to Moscow’s ongoing military campaign in Ukraine.

In response, the Chinese Foreign Ministry dismissed the accusations as “baseless” and reaffirmed Beijing’s stance of neutrality. “China has not provided weapons to any party involved in the conflict,” said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian. “We have always advocated for peace and dialogue.”

Beijing emphasized its continued support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict and called on all countries to avoid actions that could escalate tensions further.

China’s denial comes amid increasing scrutiny from Western nations over its trade ties with Russia. U.S. and European officials have expressed concerns about dual-use exports that could indirectly support Russia’s military industry.

Despite growing international pressure, China maintains that its commercial relations with Russia comply with international law and do not violate any sunctions
