Houthis Threaten New Attacks as Israel Prepares Response to Ben Gurion Missile Strike

Following a ballistic missile attack launched by Houthi forces from Yemen that struck near Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport, Israeli officials are preparing a potential military response targeting Houthi infrastructure. It would mark the first strike on Yemen in over four months, during which Israel refrained from action—partly at the request of the United States.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an emergency meeting ahead of a scheduled cabinet session. Defense Minister Israel Katz stated, “Anyone who harms us will be hit seven times harder.” Senior Israeli officials added that the country is no longer operating under any restrictions.

Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree warned that “Ben Gurion Airport is no longer safe” and declared that the group has “no red lines.” He also urged foreign companies to cease operations in Israel.

Israel has placed its military on high alert as tensions escalate. The international community is closely monitoring the situation.
