Iran Vows to Respond to Israeli Threats Against Nuclear Program

Tehran has declared it will respond to any Israeli threat targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities. “We do not seek new conflicts in the region, which is why we are conducting indirect negotiations with Washington,” said government spokesperson Fatemeh Mahjerani.

Amid growing tensions, the Associated Press cited a source in Jerusalem who stated that Israel has shared its list of priorities with the United States in the context of a potential agreement. According to the source, if Jerusalem decides to strike Iran, it will likely do so alone — despite the ongoing diplomatic dialogue.

According to Western media, the talks between Iran and the U.S. are being facilitated by mediators in Oman and Qatar. The negotiations aim to reach a partial agreement that could de-escalate the situation and reestablish some level of control over Iran’s nuclear development.

Washington is demanding that Tehran reduce its uranium enrichment levels and improve transparency in its nuclear activities. In return, Iran is calling for a partial lifting of sanctions and guarantees of non-interference in its internal affairs. Despite cautious optimism, analysts note that the chances of a breakthrough in the near future remain slim.
