Multiple Iranian media outlets are reporting that Iran’s Chief of General Staff, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting key military installations in Tehran.
While no official confirmation has been released by Iran’s Ministry of Defense or the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), several semi-official news agencies have begun publishing obituaries and statements mourning “the heroic martyrdom of one of the nation’s highest-ranking commanders.”
