Klein Vision Unveils Production-Ready AirCar 2, Launching Next Year

Klein Vision, a Slovakian company, has unveiled the AirCar 2, a production-ready flying car that seamlessly transitions from road to air in under two minutes. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the AirCar 2 is slated for commercial release in early 2026, with a projected price range between $800,000 and $1 million.

The AirCar 2 boasts significant upgrades over the original model. It is equipped with a 280-horsepower engine, replacing the previous 1.6-liter BMW engine, effectively doubling its power. This enhancement increases the cruising speed from 170 km/h to 250 km/h and improves overall safety and performance.

The vehicle’s transformation time from car to aircraft has been reduced to approximately 80 seconds. Its monocoque design provides better structural support, and the vehicle measures 5.8 meters in length, allowing it to fit into standard parking spaces.

Having completed over 170 flight hours and more than 500 takeoffs and landings, the AirCar 2 has received a Certificate of Airworthiness from the Slovak Transportation Authority. Klein Vision plans to acquire an airworthiness certificate for the new model by September 2025, enabling the production of up to 100 units per year. Subsequently, the company aims to obtain the European Aviation Safety Agency’s CS-32 certificate to remove production restrictions.

The AirCar 2 was recently showcased at the Living Legends of Aviation Gala Dinner in Beverly Hills, where it garnered attention from industry leaders and celebrities. Co-founder Anton Zajac expressed the company’s vision: “With the launch of our production prototype, we are one step closer to transforming how the world moves—merging the road and the sky into a new dimension of personal mobility.”

While the AirCar 2 currently runs on petrol, Klein Vision plans to transition to electric power as battery technology advances. The company has also entered into a licensing agreement with Hebei Jianxin Flying Car Technology in China, granting exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute the AirCar in the Chinese market.
