On May 4, 2025, Russian forces launched a large-scale missile assault on several regions across Ukraine, triggering air raid alerts in multiple cities and resulting in numerous civilian casualties. Among the injured are several children.
In Dnipro, Russian missiles struck residential areas, damaging multiple apartment buildings and injuring at least 15 people, including two children. Local emergency services reported ongoing rescue operations as firefighters worked to extinguish blazes caused by the strikes.




In the Kharkiv region, several communities came under attack, with preliminary reports indicating damage to civilian infrastructure and multiple injuries. Explosions were also heard in the Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions.
Ukrainian air defense systems intercepted a number of incoming missiles, though several still managed to reach their targets. The Ukrainian military continues to assess the full scale of the damage.
Authorities have urged residents to remain in shelters as further attacks remain possible.
