Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has once again condemned what he described as the West’s inadequate reaction to the ongoing Russian missile and drone strikes across Ukraine. In a statement shared on his official Telegram channel, Zelensky said the continued attacks demonstrated a lack of sufficient pressure on Moscow.
“The pressure on Russia is still not enough, and the daily Russian strikes on Ukraine prove this,” Zelensky stated. “Last night — ballistic missiles against Kyiv, attack drones on the surrounding region. There were also strikes on the Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Cherkasy regions.”
Zelensky noted that the intensity of Russian aerial attacks is increasing. According to him, over the past week alone, Russia has launched more than 1,460 guided aerial bombs, approximately 670 attack drones, and over 30 missiles of various types. He added that in a single night, more than 20 missile strikes were recorded across Ukraine.
“Every strike is against our people, our children. They are waging war against children playing on playgrounds,” Zelensky said, extending condolences to the families of those killed in the latest attacks.
The Ukrainian leader characterized the strikes as a direct response by Russia to international diplomatic efforts. He called on Ukraine’s Western allies to step up their support and apply stronger pressure on the Kremlin.
“Every partner has seen — America, all of Europe, the entire world — that Russia intends to continue fighting and killing,” Zelensky declared. “There must be no easing of pressure. Every effort should be directed toward ensuring security and bringing peace closer.”
